Robinson introduced the R88 in Dallas!

As NISA Air, we had the opportunity to attend the unveiling of the brand-new Robinson R88 helicopter in Dallas, Texas. After 15 years, Robinson Helicopter Company has introduced an entirely new model, bringing groundbreaking changes—the most significant RHC has ever implemented in one of its helicopters!

This revolutionary helicopter is designed to accommodate up to 10 people. It boasts a range of over 350 nautical miles (648 km) and can stay airborne for more than 3.5 hours with 680 liters (180 US gallons) of JET-A1 fuel. The payload capacity is also impressive — it can carry up to 1,360 kg (3,000 lbs) on an external cargo hook and it is also capable of an incredible 816 kg (1,800 lbs) of useful load with full fuel tanks. Unlike the R66 model, the R88 will not feature a Rolls-Royce engine but will instead be powered by the Safran Arriel 2W.

The standard equipment includes a four-axis autopilot, air conditioning developed in-house by Robinson, Garmin avionics with large G500H TXI displays, and GTN navigation. It also features impact-resistant windshields to protect against bird strikes and is IFR-certified.

With an expected price of $3.3 million, the R88 enters the market as a strong competitor to current models. Robinson is stepping into a higher class with this model, and we can’t wait to see it in action at our facility in Mladá Boleslav! 🚁

As soon as we have more information, we will keep you updated as quickly as possible!
